So, there's some big news for us to share with you!! A year ago we started paper-work with our adoption agency again to pursue the adoption of another child, our second child! A couple of weeks ago we received word that we'd been approved! Finally!
This means that we are on that fantastic waiting list with hundreds of other couples, but at least we're officially waiting now. With LDS Family Services (our adoption agency) we are provided with an online profile with a few different pages of information on us as a family, pictures, and a letter to birthparents who are looking at couples. We feel truly blessed to be at this point right now. Hey, after a year of paper-work it's nice to be done:)

With Sam everything moved so fast. We were approved after 8 months of wonderful paper-work. Then we got all settled in to wait for as long as it took...but we were amazed when we only waited for 2 months before being chosen by a wonderful birthmom. Sam's birthmom, Bonnie, came into our lives and things have never been the same since! Sam was born just 4 later. Now Sam is two and we feel like it's time to dive in again! I feel like we should still be excited to see things move fast, but I want to be prepared for whatever may happen, whether it's in 2 months or 2 years (please no!!). We trust that things will unfold as they should and that God's plan for us will be accomplished.

If you don't feel awkward about passing this on to friends and family, we would really appreciate it. These days it is very common for adoptive couples and birthparents to be brought together through mutual aquaintances. We appreciate any support you have to offer! Thank you!

Congrats on waiting--it has it's pros and cons but yes, to be approved is a great place to be. Sean (my husband) always called it being "pregnant" with no due date. Good luck!! We waited about a year before we were chosen for our first and then 13 months for #2, but NO doubt about it, it's all part of the plan-- Heavenly Father's that is and it always works out. :)
