Last weekend we washed our car and truck. Sam was such a great helper. He was really scrubbing hard. One of his favorite things in the world is getting wet on a hot summer day, so he always has a blast when we do water activities (water the garden, wash the car, play in the kiddie pool, etc...). In fact, he carries around a squirt bottle in the house even so he can spray it on himself and in his mouth. Hilarious.
A couple of weeks ago one of our neighbors/friends gave Sam this little outfit. It's from Japan and is a little boy's kimono outfit. Her kids are also a quarter Japanese (like Sam), so she had this from her little boy who outgrew it. It's fun for Sam to share that heritage with our neighbors and their kids, they are our Japanese connection:)
He's got monkey feet.
Sam and I went to the Barrington Town Beach earlier this week in the evening. The day had been pretty warm, so it was nice to be outside when it was beginning to cool off a bit. There weren't very many people there, so we just laid out a blanket and Sam dug with his shovel and bucket, etc... Sam has decided that the beach is his new favorite place. He asks me every day if we are going to the beach. I love it, too, so we'll probably be spending lots of time there this summer!

Sam literally rolls around in the sand now. It's like he's an animal who has been away from his home for a long time. He just rolls around and practically cuddles with the sand. It's so funny to watch!
